Description
"No Greater Love" is a beautiful one of a kind inspirational piece of art; art inspiring us to love, unconditionally and with abandon. During the 1995 restoration process of the Great Westminster Abbey's West Towers, the empty niches resting above the west entrance door was filled with stone statues of ten modern day martyrs. The ten statues are designed to represent all those who suffer oppression and persecution. The individuals are drawn from every continent and Christian organization; Kolbe from Poland, Manche Masemola from South Africa, Janani Luwum from Uganda, Grand Duchess Elizabeth of Russia, Martin Luther King jr. from the USA, Oscar Romero from El Salvador, Dietrich Bonhoeffer from Germany, Esther John from Pakistan, Lucian Tapiedi from Papua New Guinea and Wang Zhiming from China. Framed on canvas or printed on metal, "No Greater Love" is a beautiful one of a kind inspirational piece of art; again, wallart reminding us to love, unconditionally and with abandon.
