Description
A beautiful pre-spring afternoon (month of March) gave way to this image of a bald eagle buzzing Mt. Rainier. Mt. Rainier towers 14,411 feet above sea level and is located 54 miles Southeast of Seattle, Washington. It is an active volcano and is considered one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world. Because of its glacial ice, it has the potential to produce a massive lahar threatening the entire Puyallup Valley. Mt. Rainier is on the Decade Volcano list. The Bald Eagle and Mt Rainier are spectacular to behold.

Thanks Canyon Cassidy for featuring my image, "Mt. Rainier and A Bald Eagle, in the Mountain Time group. What a pleasant surprise and very much appreciated!

Lovely imagery MaryJane, as I used to live in Washington and could see this beauty from our home and while on the sunhot beaches, and would look up and see the snow capped Mt. Rainier, and it had a cooling affect. Love it! F/V
